Our 7th graders stepped into the role of teachers, guiding the 1st graders through a fun and educational experiment on acids and bases. Together, they tested 9 household items, learned how to use indicators, and filled out their lab sheets like real scientists.

Today we had the privilege of welcoming some very special guests to CPS in honor of Veterans Day. Our students had the opportunity to meet and hear from veterans who have served our country with courage and dedication. It was a meaningful day of learning, appreciation, and respect for the sacrifices they made to protect our freedoms.

The CIS Art Club worked with Mrs. Kinder, CIS Art teacher, to create a periodic table of elements using small ceramic tiles. This is now displayed in the hallway outside Mr. Goede’s 8th grade science classroom. This is a wonderful opportunity for the Art Club to collaborate on a project and make something special for CIS. Thank you Mrs. Kinder and CIS Art Club.
