Central School District 51

At last night’s regularly scheduled board meeting the Central School District 51 Board of Education approved the purchase of the 14.2 acres that is adjacent to Holford Gym parking lot.  This land is currently farm ground. Larry Spurgeon reached out to Mr. Heidbreder a few weeks ago to offer Central the first chance to purchase this land since the property that Central sits on was formerly Spurgeon property.  Mr. Spurgeon was committed to the property belonging to Central 51.  On behalf of the Central 51 community, we appreciate Mr. Spurgeon and his family for this tremendous opportunity.  There are no immediate plans for the land at this time.  As plans are developed, we will share with our community.
